When Epiphone introduced their Masterbilt archtop guitars in 1931, the Broadway was offered in Grand Auditorium size (16 3/8 “ lower bout) and priced $ 175.  It was the second in line Masterbilt archtop, one step down the De Luxe. The Broadway featured walnut sides and back . The 1932 catalog states: catalog 1932

According to Wiedler Epiphone produced from 1931-’57 around 2100 Broadways of which now 310 examples (including 27 Regents/Cutaways) have been registered.
